Need a wheelchair for a few weeks after surgery, or a shower chair while an older relative comes to stay? Our hire range covers the equipment people most often need for a short stretch, from wheelchairs and knee scooters to electric hospital beds, walkers and bathroom aids.
You can hire by the week, with cheaper rates the longer you keep it, and collect from one of our stores or ask us about delivery.
Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters
Our hire wheelchairs include the Swift 18-inch self-propelled chair for adults and a 14-inch self-propelled chair sized for kids. If you need to get to the shops or around the neighbourhood, we also hire Invacare mobility scooters, including the Colibri, Leo, Comet and Pegasus. Thinking about buying one down the track? Knee Scooters and Walking Aids
If you’ve hurt your foot or ankle and can’t put weight on it, a knee scooter is often easier than crutches for getting around the house, the office or the shops. We also hire a rollator with 6-inch wheels and a walking frame with castors. Our rollators and walker frames range has more models if you’d rather own one.
Bathroom Aids
Showering and getting on and off the toilet are usually the hardest parts of recovering at home. You can hire an aluminium shower chair, an 18-inch commode shower chair, a bath transfer bench (standard or sliding), an over toilet aid and a toilet surround. Bedroom and Home Care
For care at home, we hire an electric hospital bed that comes apart for easy transport, plus a free-standing overbed pole and a bedside commode. Our bedroom aids range has more options to buy.
Hire is charged weekly, and medium and long-term rentals get a discounted rate. A bond applies to every item and is refunded when the equipment comes back undamaged.
Stock depends on what’s in store at the time, so give us a call before you head in. We can also deliver and pick up at a time that suits you, with delivery fees based on where you live.

Lots of people hire on behalf of a partner or parent, and it’s not always easy to tell which chair or frame will suit. Talk to our team and we’ll help you work it out. If the item turns out not to suit, let us know and we’ll try to find one that does. Hiring is also a good way to try a piece of equipment at home before you decide whether to buy.
