Frequently Asked Questions

You’d probably be surprised how far a mobility scooter can travel on a single charge. Our foldable versions – made for portability rather than distance – have a typical range of 15-24km. Our Invacare mobility scooters start around the 16km range for the basic model all the way up to a whopping 58km for our top-of-the-range Comet Ultra edition. With that you’d be able to get all the way to Bangalow, Beauedesert or Nimbin – if you could take it on the highway! For our complete range of mobility scooters and technical info, pop over to our products page.

Bathrooms can be a really tricky area to manoeuvre when you have a disability, particularly when your impairment is only a recent thing. Everything will be working against you – whether it be slippy tiles, a wet floor or just the tight nature of the room. But fear not! At Balance Mobility we supply a wide range of equipment to help you navigate your bathroom. From suction rails, toilet surrounds and shower stools; to transfer benches, bidets and even toe washers. Check out the full range on our products page.

Depending on which state you’re planning to use a mobility scooter – whether that be Queensland or New South Wales – there’s a set of rules and regulations to be aware of. While these may differ from state-to-state, there’s some general guidelines that are applicable throughout Australia including:

•Only people with a disability or who experience difficulty walking should use one
•You’ll be classified as a pedestrian and must follow the same road rules
•If there’s a footpath available, use this instead of the road
•Don’t drive while under the influence
